Am I insane or did I just see a promo for a Crime Drama at 2pm on ITV?
Yes you are insane. And yes you did see a promo for a Crime Drama at 2pm on ITV. I'm pretty sure it's the first drama to come out of a new spin-off company from what was TalkbackThames (I've forgotten its name). One of the actors in it is a former detective.
Its from Newman Street, the late formed fifth division of Fremantale Media UK. Crime Stories (working title, True Crime) is the programme, filmed at Wimbledon Studios.
Thought I was having hallucinations there for a minute. It looks to be on the same set The Bill was filmed on, with very minor changes from what I saw on the promo. But seriously 2pm? It'd be more economical to show The Bill re-runs, that would be far more appealing in my unbiased view!
I may have reached that age already, but it's nice to see a re run of Barbara on itv3 weekday afternoons.
It's a shame that the programme didn't continue, and imo was quite a well written family sitcom, especially as Carlton produced it.

It was actually a Central production, which later became a Carlton production following the takeover.
Football's governing body, Fifa, must ensure that matches in the 2014 World Cup start on time, the boss of sport at UK commercial broadcaster ITV has said. Niall Sloane criticised time overruns at past World Cup tournaments.
He said it made it very difficult for commercial TV companies to accurately organise their advertisement breaks. "We need a rigorous examination of the timetables... we need to know exactly when teams come onto the pitch, when the national anthems will start."
