No idea. I think people need to get over the fact that the regions have gone and there are now thousands of young people who barely remember them, so to them at least, ITV is very much the third channel and a brand. We've had the conversation about "who still calls it Granada?", and the elderly people in my family call it ITV. Across generations, ITV is very much a brand and the name of the third channel in this country.

What time was this? It has already been removed from the EPG.

EDIT : But oddly, not from ITV.com.

It seems that the football was meant to be on 12:00 - 15:00 and has been replaced with the film, Johnny English and Murder She Wrote. The FA Cup Draw has been added to the schedule as a separate programme.

Those teams must be pretty annoyed, since I bet ITV won't show the rearranged fixture, and therefore the teams will lose the TV money (which Braintree in particular would've definitely benefited from). Still, can't be helped.

They really should have tried to just delay the kick-off so Adrian Chiles could fill yet another hour or two of live football with no live football.

It will likely get rescheduled on an evening, can't see ITV1 disrupting their schedules to show this in primetime.

If they forego a 1st round live match, do they get an additional pick later in the competition, or does it not work like that ?

If it's rescheduled for an evening they might put it on ITV4 - as long as ITV1 aren't showing the Champions League (this Tuesday) or an England game (next Wed). Otherwise I think they get an extra pick later - IIRC ESPN did for one round last season.

I might be completely stupid here, but how on earth has this rebrand managed to stay hidden for so long?

Usually by now its been plastered over the internet and the inevitable press statement to confirm the leak....

But not a peep of it has appeared....
