I think the new logos will really help ITV move forward from the Allen era which obviously was disatourus for ITV, also hear the CITV Channel will launch with mascots next year *remembers Taff*, cant wait.

Apparently ITV staff have already seen the new logo and it hasn't gone down too well amongst some

Hmmm, I am really starting to think it could be a disaster for ITV especially after the long wait and time that has gone into it I would have expected it to be great, well we all just have to hope. But then, what luck do ITV have at rebrands? Past attempts have failed and I thought this one would be an expection (after the good work by ITV since Crozier joined) but clearly not.

I wouldn't be too concerned. If as rumoured, the branding is going to be brighter and more in your face, there's a good chance some ITV marketing staff won't like it, as in my experience they think the network is more sophisticated and middle class than it actually is.
We might actually have, for once, an identity which matches the populist programming.

ITV isn't a brand. Never has been, never will be. ITV is just what you have left, when you take the network's brands away.
As a result, it means nothing, and ITV as a company is condemned to successive weak, but extremely expensive attempts at replacing their heritage brands with something interesting.
No sympathy.

I don't like the idea of that.
I want this revealed now because all this negative hype about it is tragic!

Speaking of which, I was fiddling around with this idea, an ITV rebrand based on/inspired by the France Télévision '92 rebrand seen in the International Presentation thread.
But it might be a bit 90's with the Garamond...
