There used to be a time on here where announcers enjoyed the same 'celebrity' status as newsreaders, presenters etc. Does anyone actually know who the current ITV announcers are ? I couldn't tell you. All I know is they are no equivalents of Trish Bertram or Dame Maggie Mash amongst them.

It really does come to something when late 1990s YTV presentation is considered some sort of golden age... I don't watch ITV any more for the most part but it surely can't have got that bad?

Didn't look right did it? Stretching across the images.

I'm looking forward to the rebrand in January, just hope we won't be disappointed

The soundtrack to the 2006 ITV1 idents were all really good I thought, they put the current music to shame.

I really am looking forward to this rebrand though, it feels like ITV are atleast wanting to try something different.

That music on the updated idents (dodgems, snakes and ladders etc) is good but the original tune used on many of the others is quite tired now.
