The week after the relaunch, Kingdom is on at 9.30pm on the Sunday rather than 9.20pm. Presuming the timings for Dancing on Ice are the same, the schedule should go something like...

17:40 Regional News
17:55 ITV News
18:10 Dancing on Ice
20:10 Heartbeat
21:10 Dancing on Ice: The Skate Off
21:30 Kingdom
22:30 Weekend News

Perhaps though DOI is only 90 minutes, in which case the news could go out from 18:10 to 18:40. Anyway, it's a slightly modified schedule.

As it stands Emmerdale on Tuesday 23rd is only half an hour. Would be good if it was shortened already!

Ladette to Lady appears to have been put back a week and will begin on Tuesday 23rd, too, presumably at 9pm if Taggart ends the week before.

On Thursday this week ITV is having a big press launch, mostly for News I believe but it would be quite wondrous if they pulled something out of the bag re: presentation, like a weekend pres set for the new weekend stuff. I still don't agree with the ridiculous current idents being used to introduce stuff like Thank God You're Here and Dancing on Ice.

On the subject of presentation, can anyone else see the logic behind putting out the summery idents more often now than they were seen in the actual summer? I saw the Beach ident the other day, which is baffling in the extreme.

Now the schedules are done let's have some new idents with lots of themes for different genres and a nice weekend package of livelier idents. Oh, and the logo in a consistent size.

Well it's been said before yet people are still going on about it... there will be NO refresh of the idents for the schedule revamp! NOTHING! No change whatsoever!

Such a shame really. Not even sometime later in the year?

There will be a refresh as there has been since Brand 2010 came in... but will amount to nothing more than a couple of new idents. I'm told that budgets all over the place have been reduced to concentrate on programming.

Do you know if there are plans afoot to sort out the ECPs, at the moment there are two types - will everything adopt one or the other?

I don't really think the graphics are *that* much an issue. They don't have the best graphics package but I somehow think that the main priority is to sort the programming out, then do the graphics later.

It would make more sense to have a complete relaunch on Sunday 13th (as this is when the changes come into place) but even if we aren't getting one, its not that big a deal unless they aren't planning on sorting them out at all within the next 1-2 years.

The DOI Skate Off is half an hour, starting at 8.50pm and finishing at 9.20pm. The list posted before was a possibility, not the actual one.

OK they're not amazing, but I quite like the current ITV1 idents and think they suit the brand well. The only annoyance I have is the larger logo on the new idents.


A tweak to the trailers would be welcome though - in the past they've been changed every year or so, so see no reason not too now.

It's not so much the idents but the music that accompanies them.

The visuals are brilliant, but they're completely overshadowed by that awful music. Also, the inconsistent logo makes the whole thing look a bit cheap. I also think the trailers should be changed a bit, to something a bit new. However, as a whole, the brand is pretty good, so I see no reason for a new one.

I agree with others. I'm actually a fan of the idents. It's just I think the package is too small, very inconsistent and the music is dreadful.

As far as the idents go: the visuals are gorgeous, the noise (can it be called music?) sounds like some kind of mind-control method. It's torturously awful.
