You've Been Framed. On a Saturday night. I'm glad to see ITV has made progress over the last twenty years by coming up with some new stuff. Not.

I've really struggled to find the channel even remotely interesting this evening, thus far.

Poirot next!

Aha.

What the hell was "You cannot be serious".

That was some of the worst TV I've seen in a long long time.

It's just ITV's usual Summer siesta until the Football's over and The X Factor kicks off again.

It's not really meant to be, it's Euro 2012 filler programming. There is very little new stuff on either BBC1 or ITV1 opposite the football at the moment.

It's basically TV Burp's replacement, but I don't think it will last.

It can only be called "You cannot be serious" if the man who created that catchphrase, John Mcenroe, presents it!

And BTW, I'm serious!

Whatever the reason, the entire evening schedule had been totally naff. Really disappointed.

Was it ever officially announced by either Harry, ITV or Avalon that TV Burp had actually ended? Or did they just assume people knew it would be the last anyway?

Anyway, tickets are now on sale for Harry Hill's experimental warm-up show which he is doing so he can experiment with new stand-up routines before he embarks on a main nationwide tour. http://www.harryhill.co.uk/blog/post/2012/06/15/Harry-Hill-Experiments-in-Entertainment-Tour-2012.aspx

And by the way, I've been enjoying You Cannot Be Serious. Alistair McGowan is one of, if not my favourite impressionist and it's great to see him back on TV. He fits the TV Burp-esque format quite well, apart from the musical number at the end which doesn't really fit.

You cannot be.....serious??

all new Phil
Alistair McGowan always sounds like Alistair McGowan, just like John Culshaw always sounds like John Culshaw. They're both crap - not a patch on Rory Bremner.

I was at the last recording of the previous series of TV Burp and at the end they all gathered round for a group photo with Harry and all the characters that's been on that series. It was like marking the end of the show, I've been to several end of series episodes of TV Burp and Harry usually says at the end "we're back in the Autumn" which he did not say this time.
