Interestingly (unless it was just a mistake) Jeremy Kyle was shown on ITV1 this morning but was replaced with a legal reasons slide on +1 according to DS. It was a repeat from a few years ago so perhaps something has happened to one of the guests. A repeat of that episode is scheduled at 1:30 on ITV2 so I guess if it's changed then that will confirm that it was done with good reason.

It was very old. Predates ITV1+1 so perhaps it's a technicality that the guests didn't agree to +1 repeats (on ITV1 at least).

I'm not sure that that would have been the case. I've never come across a release form that has specifically mentioned a channel. They'll normally be signing their life away to the production company rather than the channel (even if it is an ITV production in this case) so that it can easily be sold on abroad and to digital channels. I think generally in the past +1 issues have been limited to American films and series because the contract has specifically been for the channel rather than the entire organisation.

The episode on ITV2 now has the new set so it's not the one that was on ITV1 this morning.

Has anyone else noticed on Jeremy Kyle USA that, although the show is in 16:9, the graphics and titles are all 4:3 stretched to 16:9.

What's with ITV4 moving their DOG outside the 4:3 safe area for sports on the right, but keeping it in the safe area when on the left.

In the states it's transmitted in 4:3 SD. I've noticed on the UK edit it looks to me they're cropping it selectively to fit 16:9 meaning in some shots you can see black bars on the left or right.

The site posted in the Corrie thread has a logo for "ITV Commercial" which I've never seen or heard of before.

Reminds me of the current Little Chef logo:

It would be nice to see ITV do something a little more European. Clunky logo aside I love RTP's presentation. Little ripples of music run through all the presentation so even if you are not watching you know its RTP.

I guess its not dissimilar to the ITV glass squares, only better executed.

I see that ITV1 are showing Care Bears: Journey to Joke-a-Lot at 4 o'clock in the morning. Seems an odd scheduling decision. Aiming at kids who get up early or drunks who get in late? If it wasn't for the football overrunning, presumably it would have been on at 3am instead.

I'd say its quota filling, but do they even have any quota to fill anymore?

3.30am. They chopped half an hour off Jackpot 247.

You've Been Framed. On a Saturday night. I'm glad to see ITV has made progress over the last twenty years by coming up with some new stuff. Not.

I've really struggled to find the channel even remotely interesting this evening, thus far.

Poirot next!

Aha.
