The new ITV News site has launched. A good effort.

It's certainly different than how the BBC and Sky News sites are, but I like it, plus they seem to be putting an effort into the Regions which is very positive. Although I had a look at the mobile site and it's very clunky, it's like the BBC mobile site without pictures, although I wish they'd have made an App to go with it.

I've seen someone refer to it as looking like a bad Wordpress template, and while I wouldn't say it looks that bad, it does seem to have more of the appearance of a blog than a traditional news site.

I stumbled across it today (didn't realise it had actually only launched today) and think the concept is actually quite good - it's great to be able to scan through a history of the story without having to open several links.

I too like the simple design, and different concept. It's something, in a similar way to social media, that you can leave running in the background, and update on a story that interests you, and follow links to social media sites and/or alternative web pages with more information.

Like a few have said, it will be interesting to see how it works come budget day on Wednesday.

I rather like the silver ITV1 logo.

Very ominous... they look pale, almost ghost like; guess that makes sense considering what the show is about.

Did anyone see the trailer for a documentary? There was a grey-looking version of the ITV1 logo. I reckon that the next phase of the brand refresh will be turning the ITV1 logo transparent. They probably want to say ITV is transparent after the contraversies with the competitions and manipulation of their talent shows. If so, it will probably be the best PR and branding decision ever made.

As I understand it, that's how every episode finishes. It's the same story 4 times from different perspectives

The grey looking logo is silver.

The documentary is actually a drama, "Titanic", and you can see an image of that logo further up this page, or on the page before.

I won't comment on what you "reckon", because its daft.

Going on a previous post, would a transparent/colourless logo work within the current branding as the colours are the difference between each channel. Obviously they could still use the colours, but maybe to the limited use that channel 4 & BBC Two do for their presentation.
