Well yes, there would - for one they don't need C4's marketing guy for my suggestion.

I can kind of see the spoiling the obsolete brand argument but I also think there's toning it down and then there's a plain black background with horrible text treatment and a sh*tty animation.

Impending rebrand or not, it's still crap coming from a major national broadcaster.

I like them actually. They look good on screen - clean and simple (which isn't a bad thing).

I quite like them too. I mean, they're incredibly basic, but that's not such a bad thing. I guess a simple transition into them would have helped, but really, I do think they're alright.

I have to say I really like them, and the simple animation quickly draws one's eye to the time. The thinner font is also a nice touch.
