I was briefly thinking it'd be a touch redundant to use an on-screen symbol personally. That logo has been around for a while, not seen it used in that capacity before though. Someone complain to Ofcom about the obtrusiveness of it all!

Those Crabbies ITV Christmas sponsorship stings are truly awful. So badly produced.

Yes I completely agree, I caught one on that Corrie/Emmerdale Quiz programme earlier and it made me cringe. No effort has gone into them.

I noticed this on MAKE: Manchester's model of the ITV Trafford studio, I wonder what its about?

I did a search for an Emmerdale thread but could not find 1, its not worth making a new thread for but as Emmerdale hardly ever gets mentioned on here I wanted to say I'm enjoying the Cain who done It storyline but I find the whole Marlon, Laurell & Ashley love triangle so boring to watch, In fact I want to switch off everytime I see Marlon, I can't stand his character anymore, The trouble is as he is always interfering in everyones business its difficult for a scene not to involve him

As for the titles, I much prefered the fly over of fields to the current ones, Much nicer than seeing peoples legs and people running up the stairs at home farm

The big quiz just shows how repetitive the storylines are every year it's the same, Some kind of explosion, weddings at christmas that usually don't go ahead, lots of fights and teen pregnancy storylines

Whilst I'm here a quick word on the christmas idents, I like the idea that there are lots of different ones and whilst special idents would have been nice, I like the variation on this years but they could have done much better by putting the logo in a christmassy scene or as someone suggested on here making it into ice, They could have still then had santa's helpers doing different things in say 10 variations to stop it getting too repetitive

One ITV is an internal scheme to make staff feel as though they're part of one big team (or something like that). That branding is used to encourage staff to take training courses and is used extensively in stuff like the Watercooler Offline (and probably online as well!).

Changing topic somewhat, this was discussed before but I can't recall what the answer was.

In the mid 90s, LWT productions carried 2 endcaps

LWT(P) - LWT Productions

LWT - An LWT Programme for ITV

What was all that about?

LWT(P) - in house productions

LWT Programme for ITV was indepedently produced for LWT or a bought series for the network.

IIRC - LWTP was for in-house productions, whereas LWT Programme was used for commissions or purchases.
