Am I right in thinking that ITV Breakfast took some time back today, between 11.05am and 1.00pm? The movie "Dragonheart" was aired in this timeslot - and on STV (possibly UTV as well?), we had ITV1 pres./continuity for the entire slot (including quite a few Daybreak promos, something STV viewers never see), then a clean handover to STV was made at 1pm. Didn't get to see it to check, but during the post 9.25am period of the Scotland/England match yesterday, ITV1 and STV aired their own break bumpers. Whose would have aired before 9.25? Or is it the case as stated above that the ITV Breakfast hours were shifted to later?

During all RWC matches between 6am and 9.25, STV have aired their own presentation.

As ITV PLC owns ITV breakfast, I wouldn't have thought there would be any need for ITV Breakfast to reclaim time back. Basically, when RWC is on, the airtime belongs to ITV Breakfast between 06:00 and 09:25, then reverts to the likes of STV after that. In England and Wales, therefore, it's irrelevant that ITV sport is eating into ITV Breakfast. They're all the same now.

Is advertising regional during ITV Breakfast? If not then I expect ITV would have wanted to capitalise on the far bigger audience at that time than usual and would have moved ITV Breakfast because of that.

But you are missing the point that STV and UTV would want the advertising revenue from the entire broadcast as they are paying towards the rugby world cup.

I noticed today that the ITV 2 showbiz update came on ITV 3 at 12:50. Does this normally happen?

They often crop up in films on ITV2, ITV3 and ITV4 - I might be wrong but I assume they can probably sneak an extra ad break in by effectively splitting the film into two parts by the bulletin, though I do think a standard news bulletin would be more suited for ITV3 and a sports version for ITV4.

Has anyone noticed the last couple of weeks Emmerdale has screened the equlivent of 7 episodes in one week - I hope this isnt going to be a regular thing, I like Emmerdale but they really are dragging so many storylines out to fill the number of eps a week - 5 eps is more than enough, 6 is too much. I hope they arent going to show an hour long eps on a Wed everytime they have the slot available I.e when no football.

I wish there would go back to just 5 per week, Sunday - thursday, and be done with it,

I wish they would go to 4 episodes a week...that is more than enough. Same for Corrie too.
