Lots of picture and sound break up during Dancing on Ice this evening. Is this a general ITV1 problem or a Dancing on Ice problem? Have they mentioned it on air yet? The subtitles reflect the sound break up (by not having subtitles for the missing audio).

EDIT: Schofield mentioned the problems just as I posted. It seems that this is only affecting the VTs and Torvil and Dean's rountine (which was probably a VT).

ITV1 HD DOG has returned to its former transparency before the launch of the ITV2,3,4 HD channels.

Looks as though they've all been toned down to varying extents, ITV1+1 and ITV2's seem slightly more transparent whilst 3 & 4's are almost invisible. This is a good thing.

Anyone seen the "Drama in 2011" Promo. Pretty good effort I think, one of their better ones of late. Nice music choice too.

Saw a new promo style tonight on ITV1, 'Next Week on ITV1', presumably this is a new thing ?

It showcased 3 programmes, Lion Country, something to do with the Beatles and Marchlands, with an ITV logo next to a list of scrolling days.

If you catch my drift.

Yeah it was rather intresting, looked quite different to normal, although correct me if I'm wrong on this little point - didn't it say 'Next Week on ITV' rather than 'Next Week on ITV1', at the end at least? IIRC it ended with like a grey(ish) version of the ITVplc logo.

They seem to be having a few different and better I might add promo's lately, this along with the already discussed "ITV1 Drama in 2011" and then the " 2011 Sport on ITV". All pretty impressive.

"This is a great opportunity for anyone involved in broadcasting and one that I relish taking on," said Titchmarsh, 61.

"My greatest commitment has always been to the people at home who want reliable information put over in an easily accessible manner."

There was also a new promo for "Tonight on the ITV News at Ten" which featured a badly cut together clip of Mark Austin in Egypt and voiceover from London with the rest of the headlines. Oddly this aired at the end of Emmerdale (first one).

Did it air again later in the evening?

Yeah I've seen these before, I nthink it's been discussed on the ITV News thread before too. I think the last one was around the time of Raol Moat(sp?) recordings.
I agree yesterdays's wasn't too great, but the proper version is a lot better, has Julie & Mark with a nice green screened background - lot more professional.

ITV1 Wales (on ITV1+1) went into the first Coronation Street tonight with the intro to Emmerdale. The ident DID say [itv]1[] Wales though!
