Hopefully it's a mistake as ITV1 have absolutely nothing else to put on Saturdays in it's place.
It would be idiotic even by ITV's standards to think "Strictly moved to Sundays, we must move Dancing on Ice", especially when you consider Sunday is already probably ITV's strongest night of the week.

Moving DOI to Sunday is a bad idea. If they did something like Strictly Come Dancing and moved the results show to Sundays then fair enough but this show was born for Saturday Nights
At this rate, they'll soon decide to move The X Factor to Sundays too.

It's almost certainly happening now - Applausestore are selling tickets for Sunday nights. So with Dancing on Ice a new fixture on the Sunday schedule, what's going to give?
Will Heartbeat move? Will Corrie move? Where will Kingdom go if The Palace is taking 9pm Sunday for 8 weeks? And what about the last two Foyle's War episodes, that are due to all air in January? Friday night at 9pm maybe with 11pm News after?
The ITV Press Site is currently in a mysterious mode with early 2007 listings...

Assuming the 12-18th Jan TV guides are out on Tuesday 8th January, the press deadline would usually be on Wednesday 2nd Jan.
I really think there's nothing to get excited about though - apart from ITV giving the BBC an open goal on Saturday nights, meaning we're stuck with another Graham Norton vehicle whether we like it or not!

Maybe they might be recording the show on a Sunday to air on a Saturday? and then doing the Sunday results show live just before they record next week's live show?

Or, possibly:
18:00 Dancing on Ice
19:30 Heartbeat
20:30 Dancing on Ice: The Skate Off
21:00 Kingdom
22:00 The Palace
23:00 News
I remain convinced that Coronation Street will disappear from Sunday nights and, as a satire, The Palace (rumoured for a Sunday night slot) would work well at 10pm.
