I have 'Agatha Christie's Poirot' on at the moment and it seems ITV are showing ITV promos for ad's since 10pm and none of the 'real' adverts and nothing else, unless I keep missing them. They keep showing the 'That Was 2010' promo everytime which seems about 1min long.

No different to an average Saturday night really - all the commercial minutage is used up early on when the audiences are bigger (this time in the soaps) so by the time you get to 10pm, no inventory left!

EDIT: Chris Tarrent does seem rather bad at presenting live television. Apart from the other live episode of WWTBAM, when did he last present anything live on television?

Was that 50 Year's Of ITV: Avenue of the Stars programme live?

He presented Carlton's very first programme on New Year's Day from midnight back in 1993.

The same as most nights then. ITV can only air 40 minutes of ads between 6pm and 11pm, with a maximum of 12 per hour - hence most nights they tend to air the bulk of ads between 7-10pm, leaving the 6pm and 10pm hours relatively ad-free.
