When did this happen? Haven't seen one yet.

Good to see a new John Pilger doc on ITV tonight.

Yeah it was very intresting. It's a real shame that ITV don't have something like this doc in place of "Tonight."
The quality of tonights doc was 100x better than "Tonight." I don't know why they go down the cheap and tacky route, instead of commisioning something like the quality of this John Pilger doc.

I first saw one on Monday. It starts with the end of this morning, then various other programmes, where the idea is that its rubbish to put the tv on at the end of a programme. A nice promo that then ends with the caption of ITV1 + 1, 11.1.11

Reminds me of when they showed 'Stars Wars'

Odd credits at the end of This Morning. The first page 'Presented by' appeared with Ruth Langsford spelt as 'Rutih Langsford'. This then changed to the correct spelling but it looked like all the text was on the screen twice, once with a slight offset, which caused it to appear to be extra extra bold and almost unreadable.

I see that ITV have amended their Christmas schedule. With All Star Family Fortunes replacing the Cube slot (though can't see where this is moving to), and Poirot replacing Benidorm with that on air on the Boxing Day night instead.

In terms of variety, they do have quite a bit. They have It's Paul Burling & The Comedy Annual on wed, LIVE Who wants to be a celebrity millionaire (is this following million pound drop me thinks??) on thurs, Paul O Grady's Christmas on Christmas Eve with the Christmas Day & Boxing Day as earlier mentioned.

They appear to have Carols at Christmas on Thursday night to allow the film 'The Holiday' to air on Christmas Eve.

Going into part 4 of 'The Savoy' on ITV1, the ident appeared (Market) advising viewers that the programme contains some flash photography.

Has ITV1 ever done this before? I know they use a graphic on ITV News to warn of flash photography, but never seen it on a normal non-news programme.

Did STV and UTV show an ident at the same time?

Yeah I've seen it quite a few times when there's been quite a bit of flash photography in the following part.
I've see it happened for other things i.e warning of excessive nudity/violence.

I don't think they've ever done that before, but I know Channel 4 have showed their long-version breakbumper to warn of flash photography, violence etc.

I have to say, The Savoy was a very good programme - I actually thought it was 3 episodes long, so I'm sad to hear tonights was the last one! The ratings seemed quite strong for it too, I wonder if they could come up with another series following the day-to-day events?

AFAIK it was originally scheduled for three eps, as the ITV Press Office said, but was edited down as it started a week later than originally planned.

I'm sure Channel 4 have done a caption and an announcement for the likes of This is England '86 and Skins before.
