They used to promise to return your tapes but I don't think they do anymore.

If you had something to send, surely you'd make a copy and send the bit you thought was funny rather than the whole thing.

I've noticed on a few episodes Harry Hill says to: "Send copies, not originals" (although he doesn't seem to say this anymore), so I assume they no longer promise to return them.

Anyone know why ITV1 have pulled The Zone mid-programme following QVC, and not go into Challenge Jackpot, and replace it with an old Dickinson's Real Deal?

The CA at the beginning said "And now on ITV1, something you weren't expecting, a change to our schedule". Sunflowers stayed on air for a while, and then DRD started with no sponsorship bumper.

The Sky EPG still says "The Zone" as does the ITV website, yet the Challenge Jackpot thing was promoted earlier on in The Zone.

EDIT: The return to QVC as part of the Zone has now also been pulled and replaced with "Britain's Favourite View: Katherine Jenkins - The Mumbles". No mention on ITV website, nor The Zone's website.

Did you check what Challenge Jackpot were showing at the time? Maybe they had technical problems. That wouldn't explain why they couldn't go back to QVC though, unless Dickinson's Real Deals was a different duration to the Challenge Jackpot segment of The Zone was scheduled to be and QVC were unable or unwilling to juggle their schedule to accommodate ITV1's new opt-in point.

What are the rules regarding this type of programming on ITV1 now? I know there is a limit to the number of hours that they are allowed to show, but is there also a limit to the number of slots they can be shown in? Maybe once they had gone back to regular programmes they weren't allowed to go back to teleshopping.

Challenge Jackpot was broadcasting, as was QVC on their respective channels. No word from ITV as to why this morning neither on their Info Line.

All they said was, "we haven't been given any information yet on why ITV1 and ITV1 HD's schedule was changed at short notice last night".

Did you phone as a humble viewer or did you let them know you were calling from Trafalgar Group/Tx Media/Neon Media?

If you haven't already done so, mention that you are in the industry and they will probably find out for you.

Strange he's yet to reply to your suggestion there...

A shame they haven't commissioned a Corrie ident for the 50th birthday - would be quite easy to do something with the street itself.

Yeah it is and they would have got a lot of use of it too - with all the Corrie themed programmes! Very Happy

Looks like we have a date for when ITV1 +1 is launching, next month as expected:

BARB reported channels
ITV1 +1/ITV Breakfast +1 will begin broadcasting and BARB reporting on January 11, 2011.

Plus now ITV own the GMTV/ITV Breakfast licence they can broadcast 24 hours ( unlike when it was orginally going to launch in Oct 2009).

Be intresting to see what platforms it will be on, as orginally in 2009 it was not going to be on Freeview. But there has been the ITV Preview 1 channel on Freeview with a "ITV1+1 coming soon" caption for a month or so.
