The only reason the BBC moved Strictly to Sunday was because BBC1 had been rating very badly on Sunday nights
And because it would be a very long show if all of it was on Saturdays!
But there is surely some potential logic to this option if they're considering moving Coronation Street away from its Sunday night slot.? With DAIC as an established hit, its straddling of (presumably Heartbeat?) makes good commercial sense in terms of refreshing the Sundat night schedule.

Friday night schedule confirmed for 11th January:
19:30 Coronation Street
20:00 Tonight with Trevor McDonald
20:30 Coronation Street
21:00 Moving Wallpaper
21:30 Echo Beach
22:00 Al Murray's Happy Hour

Remains to be seen for week after as that is the 'secret week'. I can see the 7.30 Corrie disappearing that week.

....together with a large proportion of their viewers if that is the case. There is little point any channel keeping their schedule "a secret" - they may as well stop broadcasting!

They could be wrong you know.
Of course - I was only saying.
They can't leave wrong ones up on the official Press site for long otherwise there will be incorrect information reproduced.

Maybe 3-4 will be CITV? Isnt that meant to be returning in the New Year?
I very much doubt that. ITV1 has had a more stable 2007 share-wise thanks to a revitalised daytime schedule, with the removal of CITV from afternoons.
