How long has This morning had a dog for

They 'dog' recorded features, in the past year they have 'dog-ged' the whole programme at Christmas & for their 21st Birthday, and now they tend to 'dog' the massive named interviews, mainly the ones that will feature elsewhere such as on various news bulletins - quite clever for a bit of brand recognition.

I believe this is what happened yesterday with the Mandelson interview, where by the interview went out with a dog on, the later part of the show also shown on some news channels/programmes went out dog less.

ITV font has a striking resemblance here: http://new.myfonts.com/fonts/preusstype/phoenica-std-office/regular/ ! So good to know that there is a font close to the real one!

It does not look very much like it, in fact it looks more like a bad copy of FF Dax.

It may be cheap telly but this has to be one of the better Summer line ups!

If you are talking about Saturday nights then I would have to agree. It is certainly better than what BBC One are showing. Unfortunately, the viewing figures disagree.

game on at the moment: IT must prove that ITV should bring back "play your Cards right"

Yes and the bit with the songs proves that they should bring back Name that Tune, the bit with the woman in the audience being randomly selected proves they should bring back The Price is Right, the bit where the woman had to win bits of the car proves they should bring back... erm, Beat the Crusher!?

What I am staying is, the bit you describe was noting like Play Your Cards Right apart from the fact that cards were involved. Maybe it proves they should televise snap.

I had to laugh at the question about the new "Daybreak" on Magic Numbers - not trying to publise it! Laughing

Wow. No winner again. Correct me if I am wrong, but the odds are in the contestant's favour. Statisically, most contestants will win something - so It is odd that they haven't had a winner yet. I'm sure last week ITV were quite disappointed that they didn't get a big winner on the first show but now that they have some how managed to go two weeks without a winner it just makes it a bigger event when somebody does win - which must be next week, surely.

Here is something else I found odd, if you phone 0330 123 6021 (the number from week 1) you get the message that you will not be charged for the call. If you phone 0330 123 6154 (the number from this week) you get the message that you should not be charged for the call. For ITV1, a company that goes completely over the top when it comes to explaining terms, conditions and call charges, I found this a bit sloppy. How do they know if I am going to get charged or not? They are not my phone company and so can not possibly know.

I might be wrong, but I think 0330 numbers have a standard price on most if not all providers including mobiles.

You are right. They also come out of inclusive minutes. It's the most simple idea to get your head round and the only thing that needs saying, if anything, is "This call is charged as if it were a normal landline call" but so many companies get this wrong and ITV are just the latest. I only mentioned it because I found it surprising that the normally overly cautious ITV got it wrong. I am sure they will go over the top and launch a method for callers to get a refund in due course.
