And while Moving Wallpaper/Echo Beach might not be to your tastes, it's certainly something new and original plus it's made by Kudos and has a very strong cast.
Martine McCan'tSing and Jason Donovan are hardly a strong cast!
Jason Donovan, he's a good actor, after all he was in Neighbours, can't say for Martine though as I don't watch Crapenders.
Martine McCutcheon is a good singer in my opinion. Just because she hasn't sung for a while and she was ill during her West End debut does not mean she can't sing.
I am getting tired with the same music for ITV1 its so annoying and the fact that all the other ITV stations have managed to keep their brand but not ITV1
Whatever happened to idents that used to open up like this:
[ITV]1 ]
I think that they should bring back the open/close logo with better idents, something that fits in colour (the yellow, BLACK: writing and white) plus it should have memorable music!

I can't see the point of shuffling things like Corrie about the schedule. It will have one of two effects:
Those who go to a particular channel at a particular time, regardless of listings, will simply get annoyed that the programme isn't on and watch something on another channel. Not a good move!
Those who record everything on a PVR using series link (like me) won't even notice the programme has moved. No impact whatsoever!
Mmmm - they won't! Millionaire hasn't been on Saturdays for months (it'll fill that Tuesday slot I talked about!),
Wrong. Tuesdays are for Sandbanks and Ladette to Lady, probably for 8pm and 9pm, unless Sandbanks goes to 10.30pm.

You've Been Framed is usually dropped during TV Burp
Wrong. It's in the AB lists for January.

Duel isn't even confirmed for a Saturday slot AFAIK
It is. It launches Saturday 13th with TV Burp and Thank God You're Here. While you are right, Millionaire might be moved away from Saturdays, and probably will with Duel going out then, it still leaves Primeval, TV Burp, You've Been Framed, Thank God You're Here and Duel... not to mention Ant and Dec beginning in February!
Dancing on Ice could still just about fit there though, at a squeeze, granted.

It's also pointless if they don't take advantage of the extended Friday night slot by showing post-watershed films and drama, uninterrupted by news.
Who says they aren't? Al Murray's moving from Saturdays to Fridays but when that ends I'm sure we'll see 2 hour dramas and films from 9pm.
We also haven't discussed where the US dramas they've commissioned for ITV1 will go - specifically I'm talking Pushing Daisies here. Friday 10pm?
I've got mixed feelings about this. It's all rumours at the moment of course so I won't be getting too much into it.
If some of the things that you've said Pad are true, it just seems strange.
Such as You've Been Framed, it's great with Harry Hill, but when you have more programmes to add to the Saturday line up, you don't want to use Harry twice, and it would be better to leave and rest You've Been Framed.
Dancing on Ice is the big one for me. It's very well made Saturday night TV, it's something that I couldn't see as many watching on a Sunday, and not wanting to watch on a Sunday. Yes it would win the ratings, but does ITV1 need to add something to Sunday's to increase the ratings, when potentially losing Dancing On Ice from Saturday's could damage ratings for the rest of the schedule without the strong lead in, especially if a few of the programmes are new.
I would like to see them experiment with programmes such as Duel in the week, there seems to be something at ITV that suggests that they have to put any entertainment programming on a Saturday night.
But it is nice to see them trying out something for a friday night that's a bit different.
All this thread is to me is just a multitude of reasons why i WON'T be watching ITV come January.
Occasional programmes, yes, but since the new schedules seem about as exciting as a coronary, and they're f*cking about with times instead of getting decent quality stuff out (their new commissions are hardly inspiring).

A very good point. The only reason the BBC moved Strictly to Sunday was because BBC1 had been rating very badly on Sunday nights - a problem ITV doesn't have.
Moving Dancing on Ice to Sundays would only lift ITV's Sunday share marginally - and wouldn't at all be worth the fall in ratings it's bound to result in on Saturday nights.
