No radio, fewer programmes and less exclusivity, that'll be why it's less pay (not that I've ever really believe the press reports about Ross's pay). Presumably it'll save a few jobs at Hot Sauce though

So what about pauls new show? unless ross would get the saturday night slot....

How about :

Fridays 9pm - Paul O'Grady Show
Saturday - post X Factor - Jonathon Ross
Sunday 10pm - Piers Morgans Life Stories

I expect Piers wouldn't be happy shunted out of Saturdays for J Ross though.

yeah I don't think them to have a very good history!! Laughing

Like I said before if it is true, it doesn't seem a bad idea. It would be quite a coup for ITV.The BBC would be left with little light entertainement, which can only be a good thing for ITV - especially as Andrew Lloyd Webber is apparently taking his "Over the rainbow" type shows to ITV too.
Some still might say £2m's a lot, but a lot of the stars salery's are played up by the press and I could involve other projects too etc.

Not worthy of it's own thread, but I notice that Who Wants to be a Millionaire is getting a format tweak.

The early rounds will be against the clock and have a 30 second time limit imposed on them. Phone-a-friends will also appear in-vision.

Sounding like the American version. That has a time limit too and there is a lifeline were they use Skype to make the guest appear in-vision.

Do you have a source for this? This sounds quite good, I may even start watching it again.

I was going to mention it, but didn't want to start it's own thread and for the life of me couldn't find the thread!

yeah Richard Arnold mentioned it on GMTV this morning - I think most people had heard about the time limit fo the first few question, but the in vision phone a friend will be interesting - to see how it comes across on TV.

It's not exactly new news - it was on Bothers Bar months ago and I believe they've been recording episodes in this format for some time (though they're not broadcast).

Really don't think it'll change the shows fortunes though - a clock isn't going to be enough to bring back the viewers they've lost.
