The Zone has just started on ITV1 tonight with Michael Underwood and Angelica Bell. They're tonight advertising a Mediterranean hoilday, A Wii offer from QVC with Julia Roberts and some Roulette Nation.
It's very weird.. Just seems like an hour long advert I guess.

This is very bizarre. It's a bit like when Loose Women turned up on Working Lunch.
I didn't stay up for The Zone but I did record it and watched/fast forwarded it this morning. Were the QVC bits on ITV1 and QVC at the same time? I notice that QVC didn't mention The Zone apart from a probably pre-recorded bit at the start. If it was on QVC and ITV1, how did QVC handle it? Was it as messy as when News 24 is on BBC One?
I got the impression that Mr and Mrs. Underwood had never seen QVC before and assumed that the viewers hadn't either. I would guess that most people watching TV at 12am had probably seen QVC before.
My verdict, at least its something to watch, but its not really anything new to watch.

There was one point where the host on QVC was explaining what each graphic was but didn't mention that they were on ITV but it sounded like he was explaining the graphics for ITV viewers.
on both channels quite a few times, itv was mentioned i.e. " for those itv viewers who haven't bought with us before" and the graphic square at the bottom of the screen on both QVC and ITV had "the zone" ( not always on - as it alternates every minute)

Was that Simon Biagi.? of course no stranger to ITV.

It might have been, wasn't sure of his name but it was a male presenter demonstrating the Wii.
It is a very bizarre idea, and as the earlier post said ITV Play was more entertaining, especially with programmes like Quizmania & The Mint.
It's nice to see that former Disney Channel fellow presenters Nigel Mitchell & Emma Lee are presenting the links tonight. Its good to see both of them back on the television. We've also now got the reappearance of Liam Dolan (formally of CBBC & DIGGIT/DIGGIN IT fame) has appeared on Roulette Nation.
I am watching this wondering how successful this strand will be, especially after digital switchover when challenge jackpot & QVC are available through freeview.
