Did a quick Google and it seems to be an ITV brand name, based in Leeds.

'Shiver' was formerly known as Granada Factual North and is a Leeds based ITV factual production department.

Aside from the Blanche documentary, they made the series The Lakes, and are currently working on a series, '30 Years of an Audience With ...' for transmission later this year.

well I remember when someone asked why all the Endemol companies had different names i.e. Remarkable, INITIAL and ZEPPOTRON that the person replied that it was because of tax reasons!

Edit: According to Wikipedia ( I know!)
During the Carlton /Granada merger "Tyne Tees' factual department merged with Yorkshire's in Leeds (which has since closed and re-emerged as Shiver Productions."

So mabye it was closed down and some of the staff relaunched it as an independent company?

Shiver is one of several production companies owned by ITV in the UK and worldwide. They also own 12 Yard Productions and Silverback.

They've also got stakes in Carbon Media, Crackit Productions, Mammoth Screen, Jaffe/Braunstein Entertainment and Imago TV Film und Fernsehproduktion.

I also believe these companies have different regulations compared to ITV, IN the STV office there over 30 companies listed in there building.

Good grief, the David Dickinson Show. Shocked

What were they thinking.

As bad as it sounds then?

I can imagine DD being glued to the autocue, cue shouts of "our special guest Bobby 'dazzler' Davro" "Cheap as Chips!"

Show ends... another one for the ITV graveyard. Rolling Eyes

Did anyone see the new Drama Premiere sting today?
I was on HD so saw it on there with the HD logo. Was nice, just too short. It uses the same sound track as previously, but because its shorter it doesn't sound right. It feels too rushed.

Worse than you could possibly imagine. Shocked

It made 'Live from Studio Five' and 'The Anthony Cotton Show' look like high-brow professional productions!

Not sure Dicky Davidson used an autocue at all, he had cards during the bits that I saw. It was very disjointed with loads of obvious edits.
