So ITV has to keep going with the old process


But for how long now that there is likely to be a more sympathetic approach from the government ?

ITV is very heavily regulated and the Tories have said that they want to free up regulation in the broadcasting industry.

Did anyone see the new Drama Premiere sting today?
I was on HD so saw it on there with the HD logo. Was nice, just too short. It uses the same sound track as previously, but because its shorter it doesn't sound right. It feels too rushed.

Does Itv own Qvc now as I hear that a new show called the zone is going to be on this week and it will have Qvc on it

No The Zone will include Teleshopping which is where QVC comes into it.

Nothing ever came of that and I think they decided to launch ITV Play instead.

Would they really want to launch their own shopping channel, the market is very well catered for at the moment unless they decided to buy one of the existing channels or buy a share in one of the existing channel or group of channels such as sit-up group.
Can anyone remember the rather funny but disastrous attempt Granada did back before the big ITV merger of 2004 when they co-ran Shop! with Littlewoods.

Yeah it was just called Shop! Granada co-ran it with Littlewoods I do believe. I remember the big closing down sale they had, they were selling things off ridiculous low price just to get rid of them

The Goodbye Blanche programme carried an ITV Studios copyright but the endcap said "Shiver". I noticed this on another programme recently also. Is Shiver, one of ITV's brand names?
