So far so good with the new idents, they work really well. They should consider dropping almost all of them and using the new 4 pretty much all the time, perhaps on rotation with the bubbles and spring garden idents bringing the total to 6. The new music is good too, its bright and cheery whilst still quite simple. 'Alive with yellow' is a great concept, and about 3 years after coming up with the idea, they've FINALLY started to do it properly!
The news should go ident-less really, the regional news does so maybe the other bulletins should just come on without an intro.
So only 2 of the 4 new idents seen on screen so far ? Have all the break bumpers that go with the new idents now been seen ?
There appears to be a generic style break bumper that features the gold style effects seen in the background of the new trailer endboards. That would make a decent enough ident into the news actually.

Seen the 3 new ones, the Britain's Got Talent one, the FA Cup one, some of the original ones, a 'brighter side just got brighter' one and now this simple one.
I hadn't actually spotted that was a new break bumper when it flashed past on ITV1 HD before; I'd thought it was just the bicycle one again or I'd not have deleted the file.

I presumed that was the 'Dodgems' bumper - if it's the same one shown before This Morning? But now having seen it a few more times, the only link with dodgems is the sparks which look more like something you'd see in a workshop or on a building site.
I'm liking this refresh - much needed and the trailer endboards look so much more professional than before. My only complaint is the lack of new music! It's too simple and understated at present. I like the refreshed arrangement used on the Sunflowers ident, and they should think about replacing the music on some of the other idents. Think entertainment, think something like LWT circa late '90s or early last decade.
Apart from the Lanterns ident, ITV have been lazy with how the ITV1 logo appears. With Snakes and Ladders and Sunflowers, the logo just appears in 3 stages! *yawn*
