Righty then, here's the latest! Looks like Monday 14th is the day it all begins! News at Ten launches that day, plus in that week new shows.

On Monday, I'm guessing 'Trial and Retribution' will premiere.
On Tuesday, 'Sandbanks' will begin.
Wednesday will have 'Honest' as usual.
On Thursday, 'The Palace'.
On Friday, who knows - 'Echo Beach' and 'Moving Wallpaper'?

Who knows where the soaps will go if anywhere, I can see Corrie moving at least SOME of its episodes to 8.30pm (Wednesday and Friday's perhaps) to bump up ratings for things. Who knows what's being planned!

ITV have closed off access to this week on the official press site, so it's obviously being kept under wraps for long as possible!

The only thing they might do is throw in a couple of extra Corrie's at 8.30pm to boost the schedule.

And don't you mean Monday 14th? I guess Trevor's not back from his Christmas hols in time for the 7th! Rolling Eyes

Anyhow, ITV still not learning their lessons: http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/programming/a81659/itv1-commissions-business-reality-show.html

I'm sure it'll be as successful as Tycoon!

Sold on Thursday nights also been rating very lowly - around 2.3m in the last couple of weeks, and on paper at least it looks far superior to Moving Wallpaper / Echo Beach, who I'm already giving the title of "Flop of 2008".

And that IMO is the wrong thing to do - if these new programmes are any good they shouldnt need extra episodes of Corrie to "boost" them. Either move the episodes to 8.30pm or leave them at 7.30pm but dont add extra ones for the sake of it.

They won't ADD episodes, I doubt that very much.

They haven't added extra Corrie's into the schedule bar one offs for years

That's right. Wasn't only one extra episode added this year for the episodes where Tracy killed Charlie?

I suspect it's just Brekkie desperately searching for another stick with which to beat ITV.

More January schedule details:

- An extra Corrie has appeared on Friday 11th January at 8:30pm which was not previously there and didn't seem to be part of the intended week's run of episodes.

- On Saturday 12th, Harry Hill, Primeval and Thank God You're Here begin.

- On Monday 14th, Goldenballs returns at 5pm.

- On Tuesday 15th, Sandbanks begins.

Goldenballs is back 2nd Jan.

WTF is Sandbanks?

According to the TV Times Goldenballs is a repeat on the 2ndJanuary. So a new series will probably start on the 14th.

As far as Sandbanks it is mentioned here http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=694200

Piers Morgan visits the Monte Carlo of Britain on the Dorset Coast.

Dancing on Ice is also starting on January 12th (either then or the week after).

w/c 07/01/08 is on Digiguide, and looks like the ITV Weekend News on Friday will be going out at 11pm, with Al Murray's Happy Hour moving to Fridays.

Here is the schedule ;

21:00 Moving Wallpaper
21:30 Echo Beach
22:00 Al Murray's Happy Hour
23:00 ITV News / Regional
23:40 Film: 48 Hours

Good to have something other than 2 hour drama repeats on Fridays.

^ That sounds about right.

Anything else interesting in the week? Can you confirm the 9pm slots for the week? Are the soaps still where they usually are or less or more? Or is it not complete?

Erm,

Wire in the Blood
Taggart
Honest
Moving Wallpaper / Echo Beach (Thurs & Fri)

Couple of 10pm fillers, Tonight & Katy Brand's Best Bits

The Royal Today going out at 4pm.

No Emmerdale Sunday 6th but hour long on Tuesday, extra Corrie Friday 8.30pm.

Oh and this appears to be something new overnights from Tues 8th Jan and the rest of that week;

Night Watch - Steve Scott presents a show that goes on patrol and on the hunt with police forces across the UK in the never ending battle against criminals and law breakers.
