I must say that these new designs look very nice. But seeing as they've rounded off the squared corners on the new version of the ITV1 logo, I'm just wondering whether or not they'll apply that update to the other channel logos, not to mention ITV News.

For HD, and to move the channel forward, I think they should try experimenting with making idents based around the "light" effect they use on the end board. Anything but people!
It would be nice if we got a new set of HD idents to be launched on the same day as the HD channel.
You never know, they might already have some ready, but knowing ITV the current lot will still be around.
It would be good if they have done some with the new edited logo to go along with the new style end board.

Yes I agree, new idents should not contain people, and non live action altogether are best as it means ITV can do any changes easier.
Guess we will have to wait and see though.

Hopefully it will be something that will be carried across to ITV News, and then hopefully the other ITV brands, even if it is just to replace the logos on idents or at the end of stings.
It would be nice to see ITV2 one day revert back to the standard logo & do something similar in design to the ITV1 redesign (the way in which I'd have guessed it would have gone, rather than adding the 3D angle).
