How come ITV aren't using the Christmas ident's into the news?
It would be inappropriate.
It certainly didn't stop them last year.
Yes it did - the fountains-of-p*** ident was used into all the news bulletins at Christmas 2008
I don't understand why ITV didn't get a second more sombre Christmas ident made when the other was made. BBC and Five seem to be able to manage, so why not ITV.
The ident is hardly lively though - I'd say it's fairly sombre already - as Christmas idents go it's about as tasteful as you can get. Perhaps using a version without the build up might have been best.

I think an altered version of the Christmas ident would be perfect. Have it with just the tree already in full show when the ident starts.
I always thought ITV stopped Christmas presentation on 1st January, but today before Dickinson's Real Deal they still had the Christmas ident.
Are they keeping it until tomorrow?
Not sure why I haven't noticed this before, but why are ITV still using the grey ITV HD logo on promo endboards when a program is in HD, yet when you watch in HD, its now called ITV1 HD and has the yellow logo.
I wonder why they haven't changed the logo on the promos?
I'm sure this has been explained earlier in this mammoth thread but what's the reason behind all three urls on the ECP now? ie itv.com u.tv and stv.tv?
One of ITV's unique features in previous decades has been its regional structure, which was especially strong in the north of England where Granada, Yorkshire TV and Tyne Tees provided the backbone of national programmes made from around the nation.
Today however, ITV is no longer a collection of regional companies; Mark Lawson examines why by taking a look at the history of Yorkshire Television.
Sounds quite interesting from the full description, and there's even a mention of Hannah Hauxwell, which always gets my vote.
Does anybody know if 'Moving Wallpaper' has been re-commissioned? Although I found Echo Beach a pile of horse excrement I thought it was a very quick witted programme and would love to see it return after the parody horror theme for Series 2.
