Did ITV1 use the regular idents before the news last year?

Just seen the Windows/Buildings ident before the news. I don't remember them doing that last year?

Ah ok.

Seems a bit random. Surely when they got the ident made last year, they could have got a more basic christmas ident for the news.
I don't actually understand why this Christmas ident can't actually be used for the news anyway?

Erm, yea, well done ITV, very christmassy. And it didn't even promote films like Happy Feet, just films like Love Actually which has been shown numerous times before.

There's a new trailer with Happy Feet in it. Wink

I notice DFS is sponsoring Christmas programming on both ITV1 and Five ! Talk about saturation marketing.

It's normally Dreams that sponsors Christmas programmes. They seem to sponsor programmes on Sky1 like Noel's Christmas Presents and also on morning programmes on Channel 4 such as Frasier. I liked the old Renee sponsors they used to have and the old Panasonic ones from the 90's too.

Dreams also sponsor Christmas movies on Christmas 24 (the name for Movies 24 over the holiday season) and Movies 24+.

I did here he was going to - I didn't relise the series was returning so soon. It's on quite a bit of the year so should feel the gaps between the new series of Divided and the Chase. I suspect there've moved it there as I've heard Goldenballs has been axed plus Paul O' Grady is no longer on. I should be able to watch it more now - can't always catch it at 3pm.
