ITV must pay broadcast the show?

See it like this, an hour of Goldenballs (and most gameshows) are a hell of alot cheaper to produce than any Drama, Sport or public service duty. Don't forget if they repeat Goldenballs, it'll cost next to nothing to do so.

And even with the downturn, it's probably still making more than the cost back in it's slot from advertising. I'd hardly say Goldenballs is expensive to make too - even when you take the prizes into account.

It's shows like Taste the Nation, which take the 5pm slot from next week, which have been ITV's real problem - an unimaginative format that's just appears to be yet another copycat production.

ITV's shares are at an "all time low" at 16.5p each. Would it be wise to buy some shares in ITV? Surely things can only get better? Confused:

That is by no means certain.

Talking as an ex RBS employee, I will NEVER buy their shares. They invest more in Managers bonuses and Managers bully tactics rather than investing in their true support staff, i.e. the real shop floor staff.

I would easily invest in ITV as one day soon they will be taken over by one of the big US conglomerates or even by Bertlesman/RTL (my preferred bidder) then they can mix and match shows across the ITV and Five network and really rationalise and emphasise their PSB and didgital networks!
