It is a shame to see the Christmas ident and package disappear on New Years Day, it was festive, and not too bold and brash. Even though there was only ident I didn't get bored of it.
I wonder if work is going to take place to do something with the ITV1 brand.
Speaking of rebranding work, has there been any news on ITV3 & ITV4?

Well ITV4's is relatively new ident wise (well, just over a year), though perhaps could do with a refresh of the promo graphics, which I think have been the same since launch. I don't really see a desperate need for change to ITV3 , but then again they didn't need to change ITV2 either. And if ITV2 is an example of what we've got to look forward too, I wouldn't get your hopes up at all.

I agree about ITV2, I much preferred the previous look. I think that I'd rather have seen an extension to the old look. I asked the question as at the time of the ITV2 launch it was mentioned that ITV3 & 4 would have new looks in the new year. I think ITV3's current look suits there channel to a T, I wonder how they would change it.

I just don't understand who commissioned the ITV idents. All of them feature places you don't really want to be (lonely woman on bike being chased by a swarm of insects, man in dark alley goes up to see a prozzie then a few water mains burst, weeds growing around a disused basketball court, sinister yellow lines emerge as pedestrians face the day from hell on day one of the sales..... and then that music. Agh. They've been with us for so long and give such a bad impression. ITV is meant to be brash, fun, lively. Any news as to when these might change? I'm going to be like my Gran and not watch ITV anymore. Actually... I haven't really watched anything on ITV for ages come to think of it. Apart from HArry Hill. Oh, and Framed.

I see the regional programme is scheduled for 11.45pm next Thursday - could they have found a later slot!
Also what is happening in Wales because I thought they were still required to show 1.5 hours of non news regional programmes (reduced from 4 hours previously) but so far nothing apart from that 1 slot.
