Can it be confirmed by any members of TV Forum wether or not last night was the last ever non - news Regional ITV 1 programme to be broadcast in England ?
Is this surely true ? I knew this was happening but not quite so soon
Also wasn't it mentioned somewhere that ITV 1 Regions were going to replace there Regional programmes with one called " Here And Now " which is the equivalent of BBC One's " Inside Out " ?

It was almost certainly the last in peak. There will be a new series of the late night regional debate programmes starting on the 15th (I think for 12 episodes), which will be based around the new news regions, but this is (I'm pretty certain) the last series of them. Here And Now is no longer going ahead due to the Ofcom judgement that only 15 mins of non-news was needed in England - which is being incorporated into the main news broadcasts and, for the moment, the Thursday night programmes.

Will the new series of the late night regional debate programmes starting on the 15th have the same programme title in each ITV 1 Region ?
Are these programmes exactly the same as the political ones that used used to be shown on Thursday evenings ?
So apart from ITV Regional News programmes us ITV 1 viewers in England will have just half an half of ITV Regional programmes each week ?
No more regional slots on ITV 1 on Tuesday evenings or Thursday evenings or any other slots then etc ?
Plus this will eventually be reduced even further to just 15 minutes each week, Will disappear altogether or will be shown as part of ITV Regional News programmes ?

As I understand it they're the same ones as use to air at 11.40pm on Thursdays, although BTV/TTT and HTV West/Westcountry will obviously see changes.
From what I know there is one series of these left, then all other "non-news" quota will be met within the actual news programmes.

Thought he was. Was he previously on Channel 4 as he sounded like one, and his style was a bit C4 too.
He sounds rather new, although he has said ITN twice tonight, makes a nice change.
"...but now on ITV1, it's time for the ITN News..."
Indeed, he's done it again, for the second night in a row. I've a feeling he'll soon be tarred and feathered for even uttering the phrase...
