Does anyone know why News at Ten keeps starting at about 2205 recently, despite the fact that the previous programme finishes well in time for a 2200 start? The break seems to have so many adverts in it, there's clearly no intention of ITV starting it on time. It's no wonder more people tune into the BBC for the news.

It's generally been quite good recently at starting on time. Tonight was a clear exception though, with the ad break beginning at 9:59 and ending at about 10:03. They did have a "stay with us after the break" trailer for News at Ten at 9:59; I've never noticed this before, must be a new thing then?

ITV has been running 5 minutes late all evening.

It wasn't just last night, it's been going on for about a week now.

I do not know why ITV News can't start bang on 10pm. The BBC starts on the dot for all its main bulletins at 1, 6 and 10.
Surley ITV would have planned for ads well in advance and would have set aside time properly, but this does not seem to be the case.
The only time ITV News is on time is the Evening News and thats only because there is no ads and local news just finishes and they head straight in at 6.30pm.
The Late News on Friday is nearly always late, not 11pm start, usually 11.03, 11.05.

The fact that there is a live programme airing before it meaning timings are not as good as usual?
The preview usually airs in the 9.45 break, but last night did air ay 9.59

I noticed another different style of the trailor endboard for 'The Girls Aloud Party' which has a pink ITV1 logo and pink/black background.

This channel just won't die! It's been stripped off it's Freeview slot, pushed further and further down the Sky EPG, I'd have bet on it being sold off or shut down by now and yet it keeps on fighting.
Come on ITV, do the decent thing and put M&M back on DTT. It might have a chance of doing well then.
