I think that is OVERKILL!
maybe if it was 2 lots of 8: 7 before Xmas and a Xmas special, then leave it a month or then come back .
Or there could do what Spitting image did and run for 3 weeks then disappear for a week or 2 then come back again

UTV's ten-minute version was called "Crimecall" (and before that, it was called "Police Six") and it was axed (they like axing programmes at Havoc House) at the end of 2001.

Just watching Crimewatch there and the mention of ringing Crimestoppers reminded me of when Crimestoppers used to air on ITV 'in the good old days' as a 60 second quick feature
When did they stop showing Crimestoppers and was it something that every region did?

Interesting about Channel 4 turning down the programme.
I'm not sure where to lie on this one. I love Harry Hill to bits, and adore TV Burp, I'm personally glad that it will be on for longer, but what will the quality be like? So which is better, quantity or quality, there's only one way to find out (I'll stop it now).

I've just read in Radio Times the upcoming series of TV Burp is 25 weeks long! Is that the longest yet? There's also an interesting insight into the production process and an interview in which Harry reveals Ch4 turned the show down - they must be kicking themselves.

Yes, complete with the ultra-cheapo TTTV rehash of the Crimestoppers graphics
ISTR that Tyne Tees had a half-hour Crimestoppers programme at one point -- did this happen in other regions as well? Kind of like Crimewatch but with a budget of 17p and an old After Eight they found behind the sofa.

Ah yes, good ol' Crimestoppers, I remember it well on TTTV, along with its equally memorable jingle (da-da-daa [/tumbletowermode]). That and Jobfinder of course. Sigh.
I think it finished on Tyne Tees around 2004. I seem to recall seeing it after the centralisation of continuity, not sure though.

I can't believe no-one's mentioned Shaw Taylor yet. I remember his 'Police 5' on Central, but I understand he also hosted it in quite a few other regions. Anyone know which ones?
Keep 'em peeled.
