I wholeheartedly agree with any sentiment that an expansion to the existing set of idents to mark the new season would have been more worthwhile.

The 3D-ized and angled logo comes across as creatively bankrupt - a desperate attempt to make the channel stand out - to me, it's backfired by creating an unfitting, 'odd one out' look when all the channel logos are now placed alongside each other. Cross-channel consistency sacrificed in the name of drawing attention in a rather cheap way; that's how I see it.

Completely agree on both counts. Can't believe probably the most stylish end-boards/ECPs of the ITV family have now been dumped in favour of a green box on a white background - which itself doesn't fit in with the new 3D logo anyway.

The idents are nowhere near as good IMO either - very forgettable.

I quite like the ITV2 ident with the feet in it. The others are a bit meh though, I think I preferred the old ones.

The ITVHD logo is so, so cheap.

It needs to be replaced as a matter of urgency...! Apart from that, I really like the trailer endboards on ITV1 now. One thing though would be to have the show title a bit bigger than the time, but that's only a small niggle and on some shows, like Soccer Aid, they are doing it:

What do others think of this style?

For HD they'd be better off just having an [itv]1|HD logo. I know slapping "HD" in white text at the end of the logo isn't exactly creative, but it would still look better than what they have now.

Is ITV HD intended to be used by ITV2/3/4 too?

Anyone know what was wrong with the Central region during the lunchtime news bulletin? Alistair welcomed Central viewers to London Today because of technical problems.

Perhaps they're just 'testing the water', so to speak? Laughing

I actually laughed out loud at his sign off today: "Coming up on London Tonight at 6, although I don't think Central viewers will care one way or the other...."

Quite nice, though the endboard is rubbish with the time on its own line. Would've been nice if it had its own endboard.

This is the last straw with ITV, I can have, Its Just crap and there nothing worth doing to save this channel, there are number of programmes that are worth while

* X factor and UK got talents because there replace the old New faces and that fine no problems,

* This morning, nothing wrong there it has light hearted YET hard hitting issues and it’s a nice mix

But after that it pants, its becoming mind numbing programming, which is just nearly bad as something as Japanese television, I could talk about Soccer aid, but I have only watch a wee while of the programme. I just think it’s a pile of rubbish, I could be wrong maybe someone hears or maybe rest of you did enjoy watching a butch of celebs running about a headless chicken. Sometime you have to wonder that all Stars Family fortunes has made up charities’ to help cut cost, instead of given people £20’000.

Half the people continual to complain about the presentation of ITV yes it crap but there need to spend the money on better things:

• Daytime
• Peaktime
• Weekend

It just losing the plot, and I starting to wonder if Michael grade was actually brought in to improve programming or just to cut the cost and save money for ITV. Is uncle most be spinning in his grave. With Gameshow you saw everyone winning something and all having fun, but now you have these NEW opening something shows and you have to fight to win a decent prize and every 5mins the show is trying to trip you up and make it impossible for you actually win some decent prizes. At least you could have walked away with £500 or some nice prizes in the good old days.

Compertion is not going to solve this issues we have over 200 channel most of them full of utter rubbish, I believe there need to Cut the numbers but I doubt that will happen.

I doubt it will ever changes
