It looks like those spaces people used to have on MSN when they got rid of profiles.

As I've already said I like the new logo but it would look a lot better having the DOG flat like ITV4

Oh Dear God, The new website is awful! The Idents and Endboards are ok, but dear god are they bland!

Not seen anything on air really but from the caps here it looks awful compared to what they had before, which IMO was one of the best looks for any of the ITV channels and suited ITV2 perfectly.

I like that one. It's certainly different and quite amusing, although I imagine that would wear off after a few dozen viewings.

I agree, and think ITV2 should stick with the same format of a 2D DOG as ITV4 use. They also have much better idents since they've been using the 3D logo.

Quite like the new idents (although there needs to be more) and the whiteness of it all, makes it look quite fresh.

Not keen on the slanted logo when put next to the ITV1 logo for instance, looks daft.

I don't really get the website though, what's it trying to be with all these widgets and social networking aspects to it ? Just tell me what's on the channel, isn't that all that's needed ?

Indeed. It might be possible to justify some of the gratuitous embrace of Web 2.0 that several broadcasters have tried (Channel 4 News's Twitter feed is often a bit pointless, but has a strange endearing quality that 'fits') but this is just poor. The ITV2 last.fm profile standing out as particularly inconsequential. Whose music tastes am I not caring about, exactly?

That's the loosest definition of "new logo" I've ever seen in my life. Nasty, nasty IPP.

I haven't seen it on-screen yet, but going by the Broadcast video, it's a bit unfortunate they're using a talent campaign, because it really only emphasises how everything they commission is sh*t.

I agree but for better or worse ITV2 really knows it's audience. That's why they're succeeding where E4 and BBC3 are failing.

And the third of today's new idents.

This one just goes to prove that nobody in creative ever bothers to check what the final result will be on viewers' screens. After being compressed to a pancake on transmission over Freeview, the result is crud. Goodness knows what it must look like on a 42" plasma.
