ITV Discussion Thread

Oh dear, just seen a plain white menu with big ITV1 logo on the left, ala trails, and progs on the right. Unbelievably dull especially compared to the lovely 'Market' based one it has replaced.

It appears that the 'missing' episode of Pushing Daisies will be shown after all... albeit online.

I have to say I do love that endboard. So much better than the tacky ones they've been using.

UTV haven't adopted the new endboard yet but I haven't noticed any new trailers today so it remains to be seen whether they will change theirs. If they do follow suit, hopefully it'll look a little something like this to match the animating background on their new ECPs that they introduced last month:

It was going to be aired on ITV1 at the end of the season anyway. I wonder if this has now been ditched altogether and it will be online-only for that episode?

Just seen the new ECP and full screen (white background) ITV.com promotion at the end of Golden Balls. Both look neat and more classier as somebody else has already said. Hopefully Emmerdale/Corrie/The Bill will ditch their current lower third style credits and go back to full screen, matching the other programmes.

It's time that they realised that television is a visual medium, put some inspiration into your presentation for heavens sake.

The out going style did last longer than expected, considering ITV used to change promo endboards once a year at one time. The all black design is a bit boring though

Noticed they've also changed the end of the ITV1 summer promo as well. Instead of just the logo appearing at the end, it now reads 'This Summer' with the ITV1 logo below it.

Like the look of that. Think they have Frutiger in the UTV graphics department and all...

If a trailer end board like this was used, I think that only leaves the idents, break bumper and the IVC backdrop in an ITV1-like style.
