No guesses as to where the revenue is, then!

Ugh just heard Trish Bertram on an ITV1 trailer. I thought the days of that smug sounding voice were gone, or at least relegated to multichannel tv.

Which trailer was it?

Whats wrong with Trish? It's not like ITV's current trailer voiceovers are fantastic either.

She just sounds pleased with herself, and like she's laughing at something when she's talking. Probably the viewers for being daft enough to watch the tripe they're about to be served.

Wash your mouth out. Trish was an integral part of the LWT identity - a bit knowing, warm and welcoming, with a slight showbiz edge - which was what LWT (at its best) was.

As a long standing LWT viewer - smug was never an attitude I associated with her voice.

Many people found LWT to be quite a smug broadcaster generally. It's not held in such high a regard as some people here make out.

Shame really, I was enjoying Nightwatch with Steve Scott. Maybe Steve will start promoting the Bingo..

Looks like stv aren't showing Bingo Night: on launch night we have Cairdean from 0.10, followed by Benidorm Unpacked. The next day we have The Jeremy Kyle Show from 0.15.

I was just about to say the same myself, having just seen the listings it appears STV are not going to show Bing Night Live, but when they don't have their own programming to replace it, they are filling it with the last programme of the night from ITV, and replacing that with extra Nightscreen.

it did have nice idents, trailers especially in the 80's and showed up YTV, who didn't produce the weekday trailers to the same standard as themselves in the late 90s (1998)
