BTE could be Border/Tyne Tees England? There is a BTS on one feed which could be the Scotland variant

Yes, I thought maybe Border... Actually, it may be Border Television England.

There's either TTT, BTE and BTS for the "Gateshead" region, or BTE, BTW and something else for Border Scotland (BTS again?)

If BTS appears next the BTE acronym won't be solved, unless we see a BTW or TTT somewhere along the line!

What are you getting in Yorkshire, Steve?

EDIT: Did you just edit your post, or am I going dyslexic with tiredness? I could have sworn you said 'Border Tyne Tees East' and didn't mention a BTS!

All DSAT HD channels switched to the CNWEST feed as of 3.20am.

UTV Freeview now back to normal - with UTV DOG.

4.05am Tyne Tees

No region DOG on ITV or ITV HD.

ITV1+1 shows 'YTWEST', as expected.

You rascal! I now look very silly!

(I am very silly, but normally manage to cleverly disguise this fact!)

Not sure how ITV could recover from the disaster that is the Nightly Show, other than replacing it with the more popular news bulletin of course.

Did the repeat go out in full then given the earlier broadcast fell off air?

It went out in full at 10.... just with a massive gap in the middle

"CNWEST" is showing in the top right corner on ITV and ITV HD Central West also. It's also on ITV London (Sky 973), but it's not on ITV Wales or whichever region is on Sky Go. STV are showing different teleshopping.

ITV HD Border, Tyne Tees, Wales and Granada, ITV Yorkshire and STV HD do NOT have the CNWEST identifier, ITV HD Anglia, Meridian, Central and WestCountry (x2), ITV Channel and UTV HD do.

Assuming the latter group of channels is Chiswick, the rest are Leeds with them providing a clean feed to STV.

The regions played out from Chiswick and Leeds must have changed. I'm sure Central was moved to Leeds around 2004/2005, but appears now to be at Chiswick.

Central South is a oddity - it became part of 'Thames Valley' along with Meridian North, but remained in the Central advertising region - but now it gets Meridian News and is in the Meridian ad region. I believe the former Central South region is now 'fully' Meridian and is played out from Chiswick.

Pardon my ignorance but could somebody please explain what "disaster recovery" actually is?

Playout/Pres backup. i.e Maintaining your service(s), if the main playout facility fails/is evacuated/flooded/invaded by locusts etc

The old Central South area from Beckley became officially part of the Meridian franchise at licence renewal.
