What is this all about? During the repeat of The Nightly Show on UTV the picture jumped at 12:29 for a second and the ITV dog appeared in place of the UTV dog and a rather odd caption "CNWEST" appeared with it top right corner and has remained on screen ever since including during the ad breaks.
"CNWEST" is showing in the top right corner on ITV and ITV HD Central West also. It's also on ITV London (Sky 973), but it's not on ITV Wales or whichever region is on Sky Go. STV are showing different teleshopping.
I assume "CNWEST" is an identifier for the Central West region, and UTV and London are currently rebroadcasting that for some reason, whether testing or due to issues. I don't have any other regions manually tuned in at the moment to check (hard to tell which is which when they are all labelled "ITV" anyway).
UTV are scheduled to go their own way at 2:10 and show ITV Nightscreen, with Jeremy Kyle at 3:00 instead of 2:40, but I won't be staying up to find out what happens.

There is planned disaster recovery testing for ITV playout tonight. I find it unlikely that this was the cause of the Nightly breakdown earlier, but it's certainly the reason for the above oddities since 00:30. The normal Jackpot247 program isn't on for legal reasons.

CNWEST = Central West
This makes sense if regions are rebroadcasting each other as Jackpot 24/7 isn't normally shown in Northern Ireland for legal reasons.
It's certainly planned as Jackpot 24/7 isn't listed in the schedules.

ITV HD Border, Tyne Tees, Wales and Granada, ITV Yorkshire and STV HD do NOT have the CNWEST identifier, ITV HD Anglia, Meridian, Central and WestCountry (x2), ITV Channel and UTV HD do.

Assuming that this is one single feed fed from Chiswick across the regions while they resolve the issue that caused the earlier breakdown?
This has been planned for a while. I don't know if the earlier breakdown was related, but I find it doubtful. You don't plan this sort of testing to happen during your headline programme.
