Don't forget that in those days there were a series of IBA owned data-bridges installed at various Post Office / BT locations to ensure that Oracle/Teletext continued to be distributed during TV-AM.

Teletext Ltd is (IIRC) owned by the Daily Mail and General Trust. If they want to sell the Teletext business to ITV plc, then they will (provided that ITV is prepared to make the right offer).
