Have you seen this character, it's on the TV advert and the documentation in the shops. It looks like several socks rolled up to create a monkey, does this quirky little character have a name ? What is he meant to represent ? And will he get his own series ? I think we should be told.

I saw the advert... I'm guessing that there's a non-vocal message that 'ITV Digital is so simple to use a monkey could do it' Also at the end he appears with a blackboard with writing on it... a spoof of the testcard perhaps??

I love that advert! It' s so funny!
The voices are so funny!
I think his name is 'Sidekick' - that's what it says on his shirt. The other bloke is that
'really funny'
comedian with a monotonous voice. The blackboard says: 'On Digital is now called ITV Digital'
It's a strange advert, the fat guy asks the monkey if they should get satellite, and the monkey says what about ONdigital, only it's not called that now... blah blah. The advert doesn't actually tell you anything about the service but I guess it gets people talking about 'the advert with that weird monkey on it'. All publicity is good publicity I'm led to believe.
It should still be called OnDigital IMHO. There was nothing wrong with the way it was.
Also, just to go slightly OT. I've seen the UK Gold logo in a couple of leaflets with a little firework graphic after it. Could it be adopting the same type of logo as the other uktv channels and having a little graphics that represents the on screen logo. Hope so, I think it looks nice and they should be consistent. UK Gold and UK Gold2 are the only one not to have them.
