ITV Digital

I am sure that you have all whitnessed the new ITV Digital adverts   the ones featuring the comedian Johnny Vegas and Monkey .

I was wondering if it were possible that anyone knew of any websites or videos/pictures of these two in action? I think that ITV Ditial have stuck a chord with the public with these adverts, and they have been a sucess.

Yes. I love that monkey. Almost as much as BBC's 60Seconds News Monkey ( He see your future... ). Must be a monkey thing.

Vegas (or whatever his name isn't ) is gross and needs a bath/shave/disinfectant.

Yes, the adverts are fantastic.
But wrong. 'We get all the channels with ITV Digital' - no you don't!

The fact is people will not suddenly run out and buy an ITV Digital box because they like the ads.
They will look at Sky and ITV Digital and sometimes even cable, then they will decide which is best for them.

It depends what you class as 'all'. When Johny Vegas says they need 'More Telly', Sidekick corrects him and says they need 'Better' telly. ITV Digital has 'all' of the best channels that Sky has, granted there are some exceptions, and also some that Sky don't have. Any channels ITV don't have are small, minority interest channels, or channels on a 1 hour delay. (apart from Sci-Fi Channel, I wish that was on ITV Digital).

I know you're not a football fan but if you were, ITV Digital would be the best place for you with the ITV Sport Channel and Sky Sports 1,2 &3. So, if you are a football fan, you would have 'All' the channels you wanted with ITV Digital.

Ah but i'd miss out on Sky Sports Extra and Sky Sports News!
But no, you're right - I couldn't care less about football!

I think Sky have taken the channel genres to an extreme. Although perhaps not as much as the US.
The Magazine Channel for example.

I don't know if this has already been mentioned, but they've redubbed the 'I can't even get undressed in 2 mins' advert.
Monkey used to say
Where's the dish? 'You can get all the channels with the ITV Digital box'
but now it says
'You can get up to 50 channels with the ITV Digital box'

Broadening the topic slightly, I was in Dixons today, and a shop assist and was going on about ITV Digital to two people, and kept saying OnDigital, it was really funny, and each time he'd try to correct himself before finally saying, 'Oh sorry, I keep saying OnDigital' it really was funny, but maybe just because it relieved the boredom of working at Focus Do It All. Anyway back to the ads, I do love them, but we need more. Also Square Eyes or anyone else, how about capturing the adverts in rm, or is that going a bit too far? (I don't think so)

Let's hope the guy in Dixons managed to sign them up, every subscriber helps ! Yes, I hope to put the ads up on my website this week, I'll let you know.
