The name/logo looks misleading, surely it's meant to read "ITV during the day", rather than "ITV Day", which seems to make one think it refers to a day filled with celebrations of ITV.

Yes, the name and logo do give that impression.

So, is this 'image' purely for use on ITV1? If ITV2 and ITV3 were also rebranding their daytime look, that would explain the lack of a '1' in the ident/logo.

I quite like that logo actually but it all seems to much. ITV Day sounds a seperate channel to ITV1 really. Do they really think that calling it something different will pull in the viewers? Rolling Eyes

Anyway, I hope they will revamp the schedule aswell. I'd like something like this:
9:25: People's Court
9:55: Regional News
10:00: Game/quiz show (although I reckn PC will be an hour Sad)
10:30 This Morning
12:30: ITV Lunchtime News
1:30: Boot Sale Challenge
2:00: Loose Women/ Des and Mel
3:00: The New ITV Daytime soap (did they make it?)
3:30 CiTV
5:00: Paul O'Grady.

I think they said the schedule would be;

9.25 The People's Court
10.30 This Morning
12.30 Lunchtime News
1.30 Quiz
2.00 Loose Women
3.00 Entertainment Series
3.30 CITV
5.00 Paul O Grady/Des and Mel

After what happened with Crossroads I think ITV have said a soap wont work in daytime.

It'll basically be the same as current except there'll be no Trisha, the news is on for an hour, so the 1pm show moves to 2, and the 2pm shows are put around them with CiTV losing 15 minutes.

As for the logo, I also find it distracting, though it is strange that the ITV has no yellow, perhaps it's just that image, alternatively perhaps they're moving to a blue & white (ala ITV3) logo.

I think ITV is being quite brave to push their daytime programming like this, its either going to be very successful or will just go tits up. It's kinda like Victoria Wood's "All Day Breakfast!" spoof... No, I love him really. Laughing

Nice to see some familar faces returning such as Smiley Smiley Carol Smiley and Gaby Roslin. Granada (aka ITV1plc) has also regained its senses and gave us back a daytime quiz.

I think that the bottom logo is good looking, and it conforms with the rest of the branding of ITV. But what really irritates me is that ITV seems to keep chaning brands and in its self is making ITV look more and more unprofessional.

I was in Manchester City Centre and couldn't help notice that they are advertising some programmes for ITV Day on small Billboards, ie ones used at Bus Stops and Shopping Centres. They also used the slogan "What are you missing?"..........................(Nothing)

The version I have seen reads, "See what your missing"

A better line would be "You are not missing much"

Oh come on! You haven't even seen any of the programmes yet! Give them a chance where some may be better than the plethora of home/diy/antique/auction programmes that the BBC are continually broadcasting EVERY morning!
