Another new addition to ITV Day on July 25th, a quiz show called 'Watching the Detectives', presented by Nick Owen. It will be on at 3pm. More details below.

From Thursday's Manchester Evening News

Sounds quite good as well, not crap like Mums on Strike.

And wouldnt it be sensible to adapt this branding to other ITV channels, seeing as its called ITV Day. If its only on ITV1, then surely it should be ITV1 day? But there again, that would make the branding too simple for ITV.

where is he banned?

Since we've bumped this thread up....

NIGELLA! - The worst daytime TV show in years and the host having the worst personality ever!

I mean, if she says "don't feel sorry for me, I'm happy to be here" whilst beginning to cook a raspberry roulade in front of a studio audience again I shall scream! Also, the theme tune sounds like remixed video game music. Rolling Eyes

I managed to catch some of it the other week when Terry Wogan was the main guest. The cooking aspect to the programme was quite good, which she should stick at, but her presenting skills weren't as good, quite cringeworthy.

Many ITV Day programmes have been slightly dire since the launch of this strand, but Chef V Britain is quite good - watching Claire Sweeney taste each dish and saying that they are 'very nice' is laughable, though, you can see her cringe underneath at one time or another!

What difference does it make to you why he was banned? He was gone long before you joined. All I can say is that post you highlighted wasnt the reason.

...and 400,000 other viewers agree with you. Nigella's audience share has dropped to under 10%.

I think This Morning are trying to make their show as Big Breakfast-style as possible for the next six weeks; with formr presenters Richard and Denise, there is a resident house band, and a "Family Of The Week"...

I don't like dragging back old threads, but I forgot to mention this the other day. It appears that Mums On Strike has been recomissioned, as there were 2 people walking round Warrington Town Centre last week with huge red t-shirts with 'Mums On Strike' and a huge ITV1 logo printed on them.

It also appears that The Jeremy Kyle Show has also been given a second run, my mum picked up a leaflet from some Salon with times of recordings and the phone number to get tickets from, I assumed it was filmed at The London Studios, but it appears that it's now being made at Granada Manchester.

I was walking round White Rose Shopping Centre yesterday, and saw two women asking around if anyone wanted to appear on Mums On Strike. You should have seen them - they had large oversized red baseball caps on with a very large ITV1 logo on them, whilst one of them had a large ITV (non-branded) logo printed vertically on their left leg!
