ITV is currently undertaking research into viewer reaction to ITV Day, including detailed questions on the idents.

They also want to know what people think about a further set of proposed ITV Day idents:

It looks as if 'ITV Day' has suffered its first casualty. According to posts on DigitalSpy (quoting the Mail on Sunday), 'The Peoples Court', the centrepiece of the new morning schedule has not been recommisioned due to poor ratings, crew infighting and rows within STV over studio space. Not surprising really - this was truly awful tv, and they would have been far better buying in new episodes of Judge Judy if they wanted a courtroom series. Now the predictions have to made about how long 'ITV Day' itself will last. Will the branding be dropped once the new BBC designed idents come in? Also, how will the hour long lunchtime news fare now that the election is over. How will they fill the airtime without items like 'ballot box jury' and 'body politics'. We already know ratings are also down compared with the old 30min bulletin.

So during a "simple" day at ITV1:

6.00-9.25 GMTV
9.25-3.30 ITV Day
3.30-5.00 CITV
5.00-6.00 ITV Day
6.00-6.00 ITV1
Also, minding that ITV1 is not actually branded on air until 7pm

There's about 30 different commissions for ITV Day so expect stories of "such and such a show is axed" frequently from places like Digital Spy along with the follow up "ITV really are in trouble arn't they" stories.

In reality all the new shows on ITV Day are pilot series so there's no need to get worked up.

Well bar This Morning, Loose Women and Paul O Grady, but I quite like it, as it keeps things quite fresh. Though saying that I notice that Mum's On Strike is back on tomorrow after last weeks new show Solution Street, that I quite liked the idea of.

Well looks like theres sommat new on ITV Day next week featuring Phillip Schofield presenting some shows on regression. Celebs remembering their past etc. However, I say new but all these shows are just washed up material from This Morning repackaged as a seperate programme. I wonder what other remains will come out of This Morning and end up as a seperate programme.

They seem to be wheeling through these new series fast. It only started a few weeks ago, and there have been a few series end already.

This question is a week or so late but was the ITV Day branding kept on Bank Holiday Monday?

Also, was last Fridays 9.25am General Election news special introduced under ITV Day branding or ITV1?

I think on BH Monday they used the normal ITV idents, but most of the programs were ITV Day programs (ie. Mum's on Strike, Loose Women)

19.00 Soaps
20.00 Things and soaps

Yep, but my point is how ITV1 is actually branded during any one day. There is too many channels today for a main stream channel to be going though 5 different names every day.
