ITV Day launches on ITV1
On Monday 11th April the current ITV1 daytime strand is to be re-launched and re-branded as ITV Day. This launch encompasses a new programme strategy and a new on-screen look has been created to visually express that ITV Day feels like a special place to be.

The ITV Day strand will begin from 9.25-15.30 and 17.00-18.00 Monday to Friday with an hour of News scheduled between 12.30-13.30.

All I can say is I think ITV needs to get a new graphic designer...
And wouldnt it be sensible to adapt this branding to other ITV channels, seeing as its called ITV Day. If its only on ITV1, then surely it should be ITV1 day? But there again, that would make the branding too simple for ITV.

the bottom logo looks ok, but the top one does not work if you ask me, would have thought they would have called it ITV 1 Day but that Cab Cash thing looks good.

So how long do with give this branding then?

Looking at that above it looks hideous, maybe the tv screen will do it justice

See this is what gets me about SMG that they want to remain "regional" but I can bet you that they won't bother to make their own branding for this! Typical!

That Logo is awful, the vertical colour strips are just wrong

On a more positive note, watched the promo for The People's Court and it doesn't look as bad as I thought it would be

also I remember reading in the programme statement that This Morning will be getting a new set - wonder if it will coincide with the launch of this strand?

Erm... I quite like the logo I shall say no more though until I see it on TV.

Please new titles aswell! The change in sept. was good,but apart from that they haven't changed since 02'.

Ill reserve judgement until I see how its used on screen, but im not hopeful. ITV definatly need to hire a new graphics team, the branding across all four channels is pretty bad at the moment - I shudder to think of what ITV4 will look like!

Wonder how they'll implement that colour scheme onto the background of the idents. Looking at the current ITV1 now/next idents, the blue making up the background complements the yellow and blue of the logo, but what compliements blue, yellow, orange and red?

I don't think it's me being difficult, but the lineup of programme names sounds plain awful...

Quite like the logo, although the bottom one is the best.

Least they have got something different, not endless programmes about car boot sales and home makeovers.
