The Bill moving to 9pm is nothing new. It used to be on at that time many years ago, especially during the Beech specials and Jim Carver's alcohol battle... although it'll be interesting to see how the new storyline set-up will work post-watershed.
Maybe they'll be able to include some swearing, always seemed a bit weird criminals speaking very nicely to the police. Can't see much changing to Corrie & Emmerdale in terms of episode numbers. This change is more about finding a consistent drama to fill a 9pm slot.
While The Bill is not the most glamorous of programmes it is a consistent ratings winner. And I hope the change of slot does not mean too much change, such as swearing. It may be unrealistic not to have it but its always nice to have a programme without it sometimes
Hopefully though it will be axed/moved about less often. With football, awards shows, I'm a Celebrity its often only just once a week as it is.
Any word on when the change will happen and what night it will go out on?
Also what football will be shown regularly on Wednesday nights? Is Champions League moving back to Wednesdays?
here I go, yet again (a lot of you will say!! LOL)

No tv burp??
also I don;t think emmerdale at 6.30pm will be good
I do think ITV needs to revert the Tuesday episode of Emmerdale back to half an hour and this petty battle with EastEnders doesn't really work as both shows lose a lot of viewers.
As for the extra episodes of Corrie on Mon & Fri, pure lazy scheduling. I use to be an avid Corrie fan but now I can't be bothered to watch it as it's on far too many times. I hear the plots are padded out too now.
If anything it could be the soaps moving to the 8pm hour and new programming going in the 7pm hour, though I doubt they'll do anything too drastic - at most possibly move Wednesday's Corrie to 8.30pm.
And as much as I glanced over that fantasy schedule one thing did stand out there - using the 8pm slot on Wednesday for drama premieres, football and award shows. In the olden days that's where things like Sharpe, Hornblower and Morse usually played out, and they are ideal for filling a slot which won't be available weekly.
830pm Airline, Jimmy's other fly-on-the-wall series'
lol. I remember Jimmys but like Children's Hospital, those shows are not allowed to air again because a senior doctor was against the idea of unwell kids becoming "celebrities".
Something like that anyway, so I guess it'll just be Airline forever and ever.

TV Burp - to be shown either at 730 or at 8pm on a Sturday evening - get in proper primetime!!!!!!
Emmerdale - it used to work in the old 630 slot (well it did for a long period - excluding STV who used to show it the next day at 510pm!!!) - during the time when ITV did not know what to show in the arly eving slots (i.e. 510pm and 630pm) - in fact same as now!!!!
