Hmm...what about the Bitchy Inn?
Anyway, I think they should have done a spin off instead of a new series
I gather you don't like Crossroads, then. The name could have been used for Mk3, to be honest, but not for Mk2!

To be honest I agree with you that they should have used a different name, such as Kings Oak - the village in which it is/was set,

I thought it was alright and it had done well, but like you said Mk3

Well at least some one thing this useful! When I first posted this last night, or it could just be coincident or well either its still a good thread,
My vote is whole lot!
Maybe if ITV did more in house stuff it would be better!

ITV1 has slumped to its worst ever monthly audience figures. The channel attracted an audience share of just 16.7% for July. And guess what has contributed to the ratings slide? Love Island.
The second series launch (with the word 'celebrity' quietly and tellingly dropped from the title) featuring Sophie Anderton and Shane Lynch was beaten in the ratings by Channel 4's Big Brother and the BBC's Only Fools On Horses.
Other disappointments include Phillip Schofield's flop show It's Now Or Never (pulled from primetime Saturday night after one episode), Prehistoric Park (which has seen its ratings fall from 3.3 million to 2.5 million by episode two) and ITV1's coverage of the World Cup final (it was beaten five viewers to one by the BBC).
The rot has been a long time coming thanks to some high-profile failures (Celebrity Wrestling anyone? Fat Families?) and ITV chief executive Charles Allen is under pressure to quit. In this TV feature, we look at some of the shows ITV probably wish they'd never aired.

I think Love on a Saturday Night was decent for a slot in Saturday night telly. It was like Blind Date meets Big Brother.

I don't think Love on a Saturday Night was all that bad, I can't remember what else they had on at the time but I seem to remember thinking they needed to beef it up a little with good shows either side of it. On it's own, it would fail.

Let me remind you that the programmes mentioned in the poll are what MSN.co.uk classed as flops.

It's wrong to put Footballer's Wives in here as it was originally a success, a flop should be a show that failed to take off from show one. So that means Prehistoric Park, Love Island, It's Now or Never, Celebrity Wrestling etc.

I know it's what MSN said but their thinking is still ludicrous!! Bad Girls won't be long for this world either as it's being battered on Thursday nights by Inspector Lynley and Traffic Cops and only got 3.9 million on the overnights, but it was once a popular show.
Of the list It's Now or Never is a flop because it was taken off after one show, but the biggest flops are the ones that had a fortune spent on them but haven't delivered the ratings. So that would be Prehistoric Park and Love Island.

Simply the Best is an interesting one - there was a decent show in there waiting to get out - it just suffered from being padded out with pointless bands plugging their latest singles!
Celebrity Wrestling was always a bad idea, while Prehistoric Park was never right for Saturday night TV, and I struggle to see a slot on ITV in the week in which it work either.
Love on a Saturday Night - I was never a fan of Blind Date, so it was never going to really appeal to me though. It did have some neat little features in though, but I don't think viewers are now into the dating genre at all!

I don't understand the deal with the BBC1 beating ITV1 somehow being a major event and worthy of news
Is BBC1 supposed to be rubbish and never win a slot or something?
Are we in a world, where only the top rating programme is any good and everything else is automatically a flop? Coming 2nd or even 3rd out of 200 programmes in the multi-channel era is still good
