Not sure how long this page has been on itv.com - http://www.itv.com/Competitions/default.html - seems you can fill in the claim form and get moneyback for such shows as I'm A Celeb, Ant And Dec, The X Factor and ITV Play.

TBH, it all seems a lot of hassle for 60p, but I guess they're doing it to try and win back viewers.

This note on the page is interesting (something we've noticed happens on ITV2 +1 quite often);

Note 2: Only affects limited dates between certain times where banner advising that the competition was closed was omitted on ITV2 + 1 catch-up channel

This is a publicity stunt. Most people aren't going to bother asking for their 60p back are they. Even if you regularly visit your bank (which I'm sure people rarely do these days) it's not worth the wait to pay a cheque in for such a small amount.

That's assuming that everyone only dialled a number once. There must be people out there who phoned a programme multiple times who could get back a lot more than that.

The thing they should do is print the phone number that each programme used, that's the only way, using an itemised phone bill, that you can work out if you actually called it

Absolutely, there will be a significant number who have been taken (in) for quite a bit. This isn't going to be easy for ITV is it? Presumably they'll receive a largish number of fraudulent claims, validating each one to keep it fair will be quite an expensive task. Perhaps Crapita will get the job......

I shall be making a claim - Having purchased my weekly edition of Look-In in 1979, I was shocked to find the centrefold had been "used" by a previous reader as a tissue.

I believe with modern DNA techniquest they can probably identify who had done it, so if ITV (then publishers of the Junior TV Times) will not pay, I shall persue this line of enquiry.

I shall be claiming, as I believe I should have been paid for all those times I've flicked through the channels late at night and been traumatised by those few seconds of S**tterball .
