It's one of those changes where I can't quite work out what's changed but it certainly isn't an improvement. Not keen on the menu at all.
I still don't understand the logic in returning to 1/4 screen credits when the promo image is only given the same space. Had they met the previous cropping arrangement half way and reduced and cropped the credits so the bottom white bar took up a third of the screen rather than half, with the top being 2/3 promo pic, 1/3 credits, I think it would look much better - and the credits might actually be readable.

I agree about the problems with the ECP, they kept the credits style pre-2013 with the centred credits so they could be moved to the side without being reduced in size which used to work perfectly, but now, even on a big tv when they are squashed you struggle to read sometimes.
I don't know why they can't change the style so the credits don't have to be reduced in size so much.

Anyone would think it's close to Christmas.
Strangely the X Factor promo for this weekend uses the snowflake close at the end.

I don't actually mind this particular ident, it's some of their other christmas ones which are boring, although it would be nice to see something completely new this year.
Not long before this comes out again then for the 3rd year

Haha! Obviously I'm referring to the fact that it's for a programme on November 28th.

It's a shame ITV won't break with the style of their idents and go for something a bit different for Christmas. During their 2007-2012 look they went for very different styles from their usual idents at Christmas, They should do this again.

I agree - using the same decent but quite subtle package for the third year running will just go unnoticed. You would think considering the huge increase in effort from advertisers for the period in the last few years that Britain's biggest broadcaster would be looking to advertise itself too.
P.S. Guess the thread title will be correct again in just over a month!

Here's the original quote (my bold):
Given ITV4 was not rebranded in 2006 with the other 3 stations, you could argue it was not a complete and total rebrand. I agree it's a technicality.
Yes, but that wasn't 15 years before 2013; that is what I'm asking about.
